Apartment Kandahar is a modern two bedroom apartment with a flexible layout situated within walking distance of the Bellevue gondola. The Apartment is just short walk from the centre of Les Houches and its convenient location makes it a great choice for families looking for an easy stay in the mountains. The apartment is set up for rentals with plenty of storage for skis and bikes, a secure garage and a balcony boasting incredible views of the Mont Blanc massif. Other amenities include wifi, tv, washing machine and free local transport.
The apartment is located in a small residence, set slightly back from the road, and just a stone’s throw from the Bellevue Gondola, the shops and bars and bakeries of Les Houches. The ski area of Les Houches extends from an altitude of 950m to 1900m. From the summit one has a spectacular 360° view of the Mont-Blanc massive. And with 55 km of slopes meandering through the forests, you will discover the real pleasures of skiing. The pistes in Les Houches lie on grassy hillsides, so even if the snow is thin, there is small chance of scraping your skis or boards on rocks. The ski-out is generally open throughout the season thanks to the great snow cannon coverage on the sheltered lower runs, so no queuing for the gondola back down to the village – always a bonus! The slopes at the top of the mountain range from green nursery slopes right through to the famous “Verte” black run used in the Kandahar World Cup skiing! In the summer Les Houches is well known for its mountain biking and its long descents to the valley floor (950-1900m). Trails here range from gentle intermediate to advanced tree and steep gradient runs. A favourite run with locals is the descent from the top of the Prarion gondola down to the village of St Gervais and Le Fayet. There are a number of different options, offering long and exhilarating runs down to the bottom.

Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven and stove. One double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower, one twin bedroom and one family bathroom with WC and laundry facilities and bath. The basement provides a large storage area with boot heaters and ample room to sit down and change, ski locker and bike storage. Guests will also have access to a private garage on site.
The apartment is sold self catered. Self-catered bookings include linen/towels, end of stay cleaning and local taxe de sejour (tourist tax). You can check in to the apartment between 16:00-22:00 – we might be able to arrange a later check-in but this must be requested in advance (there is a surcharge of €70 for a late check-in).
