Apartment Trabets 2 in Les Houches is a brand new three bedroom chalet style apartment with all the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. Conveniently located just a two minute walk from the Bellevue gondola, the Les Houches ski area is perfect for families with it's green, blue and red tree lined pistes. With impressive views of the Chamonix valley, this apartment is well suited for accommodating large families sleeping up to 8 people. The apartment has underground parking for 1 car, although we wouldn't consider a car necessary given it's convenient location and access to public transport.
Apartment Trabets 2 is located in a chalet style residence just around the corner from the Bellevue lift in Les Houches. In winter you can easily walk to the skiing, as well as to various restaurants and shops. Les Houches is a perfect winter ski area for families, offering a much gentler aspect than the steep terrain of the rest of the valley. Being in mostly treelined, Les Houches is also a good option on bad weather days and rarely gets closed in terms of avalanche risk. The ski resort also offers Ski Camp, an incredible snow camp playground area for kids which includes free tubing, zip lines, tipis, and sledging. Les Houches offers family skiing on blues and reds but is also home to the world cup Kandahar downhill, allowing those who like to push themselves the chance to do so on the black piste. In summer, you have quick and easy access to the hiking and biking trails. A short drive or bus ride into Chamonix opens up all the valley has to offer in terms of skiing and summer activities, as well the town itself. The building is in a great location for easy access from Geneva, and a great base for exploring other ski resorts such as Megeve, St Gervais/ les Contamines, as well as further afield into Italy and Switzerland. There is even an indoor climbing wall just a short walk from the apartment.
The apartment has three bedrooms. The master double/twin comes with an en-suite bath + shower room, whilst the second twin/double room and the double bunk room (sleeping 4) share a bathroom accessed from the hall way. There is a shower room and a separate WC. The living area is open plan, with a modern kitchen with dishwasher/ washing machine, access onto the terrace, a dining area and a comfy lounge area with large screen smart TV. The apartment has an excellent wifi connection and the pellet stove in the lounge area is perfect for cold, snowy evenings. Kids will love the geese, hens and resident donkey that live opposite the apartment.
The apartment is sold self catered but you can book catering here if needed. Self-catered bookings include linen/towels, end of stay cleaning and local taxe de sejour. You can check in to the apartment between 16:00-22:00 – we might be able to arrange a later check-in but this must be requested in advance and a surcharge of €70 payable in cash on arrival.
