Apartment Lachenal is a one bedroom apartment located in the centre of Chamonix. The apartment can sleep up to 4 guests with the use of the optional sofa bed in the living room. A great feature of the apartment is the spacious balcony which offers spectacular views towards Mont Blanc. Located just a minute from the pedestrianised high street yet with its own underground parking space, Apartment Lachenal makes a convenient Chamonix base for both small groups of friends and families.

The Location

Apartment Lachenal benefits from an excellent location in the centre of Chamonix. Just a minute’s walk from the pedestrianised high street and in winter also just a couple of minute’s walk to the Savoy nursery slope. From here you can access the Brévent ski area via a drag lift to the main Brévent lift. A bus stop just outside the apartment gives easy access to the rest of the Chamonix Valley for those wanting to explore the other villages or ski areas. There are numerous excellent cafes, bars and restaurants and the largest supermarket in Chamonix is under 5 minutes walk. Apartment Lachenal makes an excellent base for small families or groups of friends who would like the fantastic convenience of a central Chamonix location.

The Details

Apartment Lachenal is situated on the 4th and final floor of an apartment building with a lift. There is an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with sofa bed, TV and dining table. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, mini-oven and stove. The bedroom has a flexible layout and can either be set up as a double or with a set of bunk beds. There is a separate WC and bathroom with a basin and a shower over a bath. Externally there is a sunny balcony with a table and chairs. The apartment also benefits from one underground parking space.

What’s Included

Self-catered bookings include linen and towels based on the standard guest configuration. If your apartment features a sofa bed and you require additional linen to accommodate maximum occupancy, a supplementary linen fee of €25 will apply. The rate also includes end-of-stay cleaning and the local taxe de séjour (tourist tax), which provides access to a Carte d’Hôtes. This card grants complimentary use of local trains and discounts on museum admissions and other attractions.

Standard check-in is available between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with check-out required by 10:00 AM. Please note that late arrivals may incur additional charges. If your apartment permits pets, additional fees apply. Dogs are charged at €15 per night per dog; however, cats are not permitted in any Alpes Travel apartments.

Payment terms and Cancellation 

To confirm the booking, you must pay 10% of the total cost. Along with the accommodation fee, you will be charged a local tourist tax of 4.6 euros per adult per night. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the provided card 30 days before your arrival. You will receive an email notification prior to the balance being charged.

If you cancel your booking via email up to 30 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund. However, within 30 days of arrival, the booking becomes non-refundable.

Please note that a temporary damage deposit of €250 will be charged on the day of arrival and held for the duration of the stay. The deposit will be released upon check-out.
